4 Easy Steps to Publishing

Once you’ve written your story down, there are just a few simple steps to turn it into a finished book. At Stevenson Genealogy, we can help you with every part of the process, and if you have any questions our experts are just a phone call or email away. If you’re having trouble preparing your book for publication, we can even help with that! Below you’ll find the publishing process laid out for you step by step.

  • Step 1: Send your book to us

We'll need an electronic copy of your book. There are even several ways to get it to us! 1) Mail it to us on a CD or USB flash drive. Our address is: Stevensons, 230 W. Bulldog Blvd., Provo, Utah 84604 2) Upload the file to our server via FTP. 3) For those who use the Dropbox service, you can put the file in your Public folder and email a link to: cs@sgenealogy.com
  • Step 2: Choose Your Quality Level

When you print a book with us, you choose the appearance to make it just the way you want it. We have a variety of options to choose from in paper types, printing level, and binding. Based on your needs and your budget, you can choose the ones that will fit you best.
  • Step 3: Check your Proof

Before your book is bound and finished, we will send you an unbound, prepress copy of your book called a proof. This is your chance to make sure that everything is just right before the book is printed and bound in its final version. This gives you peace of mind and a chance to catch any mistakes in your book before they're shared with your descendants.
  • Step 4: Receive Your Finished Books

Not long after you approve the proof, you'll be able to hold your creation in your hands, display it proudly, and share it with family and friends.
  • Yes, it's that easy!

That's all there is to it! With over 50 years of experience in publishing personal and family histories, we've refined our processes to make it as enjoyable and easy as possible for you. If you have any special needs, please let us know and we will be happy to adapt our system to meet them. It's your book; we're here to help you with it.
